One of our goals this year is to build
an adventure playground in the grounds of the school for the
children. The proposed site is round the back of the school
near the dining Hall. At the moment provisional plans include
ropes, wooden balancing equipment, wooden stepping stones
of varying height and wooden obstacles. There will also be
access and equipment for disabled children.
The estimate for the outdoor safety
flooring and adventure equipment is approximately £4000.
We suspect that the project will evolve
as the children decide they want more! The Pupil Council members
are closely involved with the development of the adventure
playground.
